Luke Morton, an environmental engineer with FGG design group, led us on an incredible tour of a newly built green home that is located 8 blocks away from our school! Embedded in this post you'll see a collection of images from our excusion. Enjoy!
As promised, a more complete slide show from today's event is posted below. Enjoy!
See the videos below of a few interviews we conducted with the different individuals who were kind enough to stop by our school today and share their cars with us. It really was a great event and an excellent opportunity for our community members to see many different types of car transportation technologies on display.
We were joined yesterday for a 'brown bag lunch' by energy engineer, Luke Morton, and architect, Erica Weeks, to discuss green building and design. It was a great conversation and we appreciate Luke and Erica spending some time with us.
I really learned to think differently about "green" products. A really good question to ask when thinking about a green home or green products is, "How green is it?"
Kudos to Alice Winham for setting up this brown bag lunch and for making arrangments for the school community to visit the green home down the street from Castilleja on Tuesday, April 20th.
The video embedded on this page is from the first 10 minutes of our time with Luke and Erica.
